I had the privilege of capturing the birth (my first!) of the amazing Augustus last night. He decided to come into this world at 34 weeks. The risk of complications was high, but he came out crying, pink, and in complete health. A miracle in so many ways. No two people deserve the title of mom and dad more than Ryan and Cassady. It was thrilling to watch them become parents. Their joy was instant and beautiful. I’ve been on a high ever since, and am grateful for the experience. God is faithful and his timing is perfect.
After reschedules due to floods and tornadoes (typical Oklahoma happenings), we were finally able to shoot Britan and Taylor’s engagement session back in June. It breaks my heart into a million pieces that we won’t be able to shoot their wedding in October, but this shoot and her upcoming bridal session is coming really close to mending my broken heart. I’ve known Britan since she was a little freshman pledge in our sorority. She has always been a go getter and always looking for a way to help someone out. I’m so happy for her in finding Taylor to share in her passion for life. Such a great couple! We are so happy for you guys and more than enjoyed getting to spend an evening with you!
Megan and Josh married at the brand new and gorgeous Chisholm Springs in Edmond at the end of December. This was our last wedding of the year and it couldn’t have gone smoother thanks to Meg Owen of Mrs. MO Events. It actually snowed about 3 inches the morning of their wedding. I love looking back on these images and not being able to tell that they were freezing. All you can see is the love and excitement.
Clark and Lori were married back in December (on Robby’s birthday actually) and it couldn’t have been a prettier day. We were expecting arctic temps and ended up having to take off our coats to shoot outside. We had such a good time getting to spend the day with these two and their family and friends. It was such a special day for them. Everyone involved and in attendance truly cared for this couple. It was a really cool thing to witness.

We shot Emily’s bridal portraits about 3 weeks ago. It has been 3 weeks of torture not being able to share this gorgeous bride until after her wedding day. Emily is the picture of elegance and grace. We were so glad to have gotten to know her over the past 6 months. Congrats to you and your new hubby, Emily!
Kim and Paul were married on a rainy April day in the middle of the woods. It was magical and so very them in every way. Like I said in Kim’s bridal blog post, she is the most laid back, go with the flow bride we’ve ever been around. This was never more evident than when we got the word that she wanted to continue with the ceremony outdoors despite the rain. We were thrilled and so pumped to just go for it. This wedding proved that it’s not about the details or the weather, but the union that these two were coming into. We were honored to be the ones to capture that.
