10 years ago we went on our first date. That’s 1/3 of my life (mind blown). I remember so many details from that day because I may or may not have fantasized for over a year that at some point Robby would ask me out. He picked me up at my sorority house after I got out of class and took me to the zoo. I borrowed my roommate’s green and white stripe tank top and he had on a band t-shirt (I’m pretty positive it was The Cure). He taught me how to use chopsticks while we ate sushi at dinner and after we went to watch my brother and some friends play music at the Jazz Lab. On our way back to Norman he asked if we went out again what would be a fun thing to do, so I told him we should go to the drive-in movies. Later, I learned that question was a test of some sort to see how fun I was. I am glad that I apparently answered correctly. So much life has been lived in these last 10 years. I look at these old images of us and it makes me so proud of what we have built together and it reminds me how God has carried us through every high and every low. I am grateful every single day that we were put together. Rob, you are my all time favorite person, thanks for being persistent on getting permission from my brother to ask me out. I love you, I love you, I LOVE you!
Today marks 6 years of business for us! It seems like so much longer ha! We thought we’d celebrate with a blog post from one of our weddings last fall. Annie and Ryan are just precious and we were so thankful to be involved with their wedding.

Last September we were lucky enough to photograph Katie and Nick’s gorgeous wedding in Colorado. It was such an amazing weekend. Katie and Nick’s families were so welcoming and the love surrounding them on their day was just beautiful. We are so grateful to have gotten to be a part of their wedding. We left completely in love with the state of Colorado. Hoping to be back there soon. More mountain weddings, please.
I had the privilege of capturing the birth (my first!) of the amazing Augustus last night. He decided to come into this world at 34 weeks. The risk of complications was high, but he came out crying, pink, and in complete health. A miracle in so many ways. No two people deserve the title of mom and dad more than Ryan and Cassady. It was thrilling to watch them become parents. Their joy was instant and beautiful. I’ve been on a high ever since, and am grateful for the experience. God is faithful and his timing is perfect.
After reschedules due to floods and tornadoes (typical Oklahoma happenings), we were finally able to shoot Britan and Taylor’s engagement session back in June. It breaks my heart into a million pieces that we won’t be able to shoot their wedding in October, but this shoot and her upcoming bridal session is coming really close to mending my broken heart. I’ve known Britan since she was a little freshman pledge in our sorority. She has always been a go getter and always looking for a way to help someone out. I’m so happy for her in finding Taylor to share in her passion for life. Such a great couple! We are so happy for you guys and more than enjoyed getting to spend an evening with you!
Megan and Josh married at the brand new and gorgeous Chisholm Springs in Edmond at the end of December. This was our last wedding of the year and it couldn’t have gone smoother thanks to Meg Owen of Mrs. MO Events. It actually snowed about 3 inches the morning of their wedding. I love looking back on these images and not being able to tell that they were freezing. All you can see is the love and excitement.
